This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Izem (“Application”) for mobile devices, created by Rachid Nichan. The Application is an educational tool designed to help users learn the Tamazight language and Tifinagh script.

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide a better experience, we offer different levels of information collection:

• Guest Users: We use anonymous identifiers to track your progress locally without knowing your identity.
• Registered Users: If you choose to link your account via Google Sign-In or Email, we collect your email address and profile name to ensure your XP and ranks are saved permanently across devices.

2. Authentication & Data Persistence

The app uses Firebase Authentication to secure your data. When you link your anonymous account to a permanent one (Google or Email), your learning progress is migrated and stored securely in Firebase Firestore. You can request to delete this data at any time via our Data Deletion Page.

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you important updates, such as when your word contributions are approved, or daily reminders to keep your learning streak alive. You can opt-out of these notifications at any time through your device settings.
